At 4:23 today, Governor Sanford signed 3218 into law! SC can now enjoy craft beer up to 14%abw (17.5%by volume). Beer must be approved (all beer must go through this) which will take some time but it’s a done deal! I would like to thank every person who took the time to email, write letters and call our Representatives to voice their support of this bill. South Carolina now truly is a world-class travel destination with a soon to match world-class beer selection.
I’m off to finally relax and enjoy my newly legal barleywine. Look for updates on beer events happening around the state and what PTCSC might be up to next.
Cheers!
